The Social Justice Research Unit of Knowledge Hub Institute focuses on migration, social protection, and inclusive development, with particular attention to vulnerable and marginalized populations in Bangladesh. The unit examines labour migration across the full cycle, focusing on migrant protection, recruitment practices, remittance flows, and welfare outcomes. It conducts thematic and sectoral analyses of social protection systems, including coverage gaps, financial inclusion, and support mechanisms for informal and at-risk groups. Drawing on institutional and policy analysis, the unit evaluates governance frameworks and service delivery systems affecting migrants and disadvantaged communities. It develops evidence-based policy insights to strengthen migrant welfare, expand social protection coverage, and promote equitable and inclusive development.
