Abu Hena Mostofa Kamal is an experienced legal and regulatory professional with over 20 years of experience across the energy and telecommunications sectors. He currently serves as Head of Legal and Regulatory Affairs at Agile Group and CEO of Direct Renewable Energy, where he leads compliance, regulatory engagement, and project development.
He has been closely involved in developing utility-scale renewable energy projects in Bangladesh, working on land acquisition, regulatory approvals, and complex contractual arrangements. He has also contributed as a consultant to the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), providing legal and regulatory analysis on renewable energy policy and investment frameworks. Over the years, he has worked with organizations such as Hero Future Energies, Chevron Bangladesh, and Axiata Group companies, building strong relationships with government and industry stakeholders.
Tasnim Nowshin Fariha is a Lecturer in the Department of Women and Gender Studies at the University of Dhaka, specializing in the intersections of gender, development, and social justice. Her research addresses critical global challenges, including gender-based violence, climate change-induced migration, and structural inequality, with a consistent focus on policy relevance and real-world impact.
Fariha has contributed to numerous research initiatives in collaboration with prestigious international institutions, such as University College London (UCL), the University of Queensland, and McGill University. Her work explores complex socio-political issues, ranging from the gendered impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic to the politics of displacement and non-recognition of genocide. Beyond academia, she is an active contributor to public dialogue, leveraging research-driven insights to advocate for more inclusive, equitable, and evidence-based development outcomes.
