The Business and Human Rights Research Unit of Knowledge Hub Institute generates evidence-based research, policy analysis, and stakeholder engagement at the intersection of business practices and human rights, with a focus on Bangladesh and comparable economies. The unit assesses corporate impacts on labour rights, the environment, and communities; conducts sectoral and supply chain analyses; and evaluates national frameworks against international standards, such as the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the International Labour Organization conventions. It produces policy recommendations, develops data-driven monitoring tools, documents field-level cases, and facilitates dialogue among government, private sector, and civil society to strengthen corporate accountability, promote responsible business conduct, and advance inclusive and rights-based economic development.
